Stockbury Roundabout is set to close for a full weekend as part of the ongoing large improvement scheme at the M2 Junction 5. Ahead of the opening of the new flyover in July, the A249 Stockbury Roundabout will need to be resurfaced.

This work will take place over multiple weeknights and an entire weekend this month. Stockbury Roundabout and the M2 Junction 5 London-bound exit slip will close from 8pm on Wednesday June 19 to 5am on Thursday June 20, and then from 8pm on Thursday June 20 to 5am on Friday June 21.

After these two closures, the roundabout and the exit slip will then close for the whole weekend between 8pm on Friday June 21 to 5am on Monday June 24. During the closures, the dedicated slip roads to and from the M2 will remain open, except for the M2 junction 5 London-bound exit slip.

Drivers are advised that there will be no access to or from Oad Street from the Stockbury Roundabout during these times either. Non-motorway traffic on the A249 southbound coming down from Sheppey will need to leave the carriageway at the Bobbing roundabout.
