Yahoo News Doctor Who set to release Goblin Song Christmas single
Doctor Who has confirmed it’ll soon be entering the race for Christmas number one as the long-running BBC sci-fi is releasing a Christmas single.
Ahead of the show’s upcoming Christmas special, which will see Ncuti Gatwa’s first trip in the TARDIS alongside Millie Gibson, Whovian’s will be treated to a new original track called The Goblin Song.
Created by Doctor Who showrunner Russel T Davies and composer Murray Gold, the new charity single is set to be released on Monday, December 11 with all proceeds going to Children in Need.

Sharing their excitement for the release, Davies and Gold teased ahead to what fans can expect from the festive charity track.
"We’re releasing this as an early Christmas present for everyone," Davies enthused. "And if you want to see how the Doctor and Ruby escape from the Goblin King at the end of the song, you’ll have to watch on Christmas Day!"
"I don’t like these goblins and you won’t either but they have agreed to donate everything from their song to BBC Children in Need so let’s not give up on them," Gold added.

The Goblin Song’s music video is also set to feature exclusive content from the highly anticipated upcoming Christmas special, The Church on Ruby Road.
The festive adventure will see The Doctor meet his new companion Ruby Sunday for the first time as they encounter goblins, stolen babies, and a mystery surrounding Ruby’s birth.
Joining Gatwa and Gibson in the cast for the special episode will be Michelle Greenidge, Angela Wynter, Anita Dobson, and Davina McCall – who’s playing herself.
The Goblin Song is available from December 11 on BBC Sounds, Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer.
Doctor Who's 'The Church on Ruby Road' will air on Christmas Day (December 25), but the next 60th anniversary special, 'The Giggle', premieres first on December 9. The show airs on BBC One in the UK and Disney+ elsewhere.
