Yahoo News Doctors spoiler: 'The Good Mother'
After last night's online character assassination, Ayesha has to persuade Valerie not to cancel her date today with Pete. By the time they get to The Mill, she is persuaded that their mutual love for Kate Winslet movies must be fate. Karen later finds Valerie having a saucy text chat with Pete and encourages her to up the ante, until it goes a little too far, even for Karen!
At lunchtime, Valerie hastily wolfs down a sandwich as she explains that food isn't conducive for romance and so they are just meeting for coffee. She has embellished her outfit and looks gorgeous and ready to go. Ayesha tells her to text her the letter 'P' for Psychopath, should she need rescuing, while Karen jokes about covering for her if she decides not to come back to work.
Valerie sits nervously in The Icon bar when Pete arrives. She asks for a coffee, but he wastes no time in ordering a bottle of wine and intensely asking what makes her tick. Valerie gets a little giggly as they talk about movies, but then she notices Al and Ayesha entering the bar.
As they watch from afar, Ayesha is unimpressed to see that Pete seems to be trying to get Valerie drunk, while Al jokingly comments that for all they know, Pete could be 'the one'. In the end, Valerie announces that she's had a lovely time but needs to get back to work.
Elsewhere, Jimmi finds himself with a dilemma when the last words of a dying patient reveal a devastating family secret.
