Many people have been left wondering if people can win a house with Omaze.

Omaze is a fundraising company that aims to raise money for charity, give away spectacular prizes, and generate profit for itself. Since launching in the UK in April 2020, the organisation has been running prize draws.

One of the prizes means you can be in with the chance of winning a multi-million-pound house. When the draw ends, a chosen charity partner gets a share of the profits.

The exact odds of winning are unclear – Omaze doesn’t publish precise figures, and the odds get worse as more people enter. The American company regularly launches sweepstakes that offer luxury cars, cash prizes or mortgage-free multi-million properties. All people need to do is enter the draw for free via the post or online for £10, which can seem too good to be true.

The company, which is based in Los Angeles, was founded by Ryan Cummins and Matthew Pohlson in 2012. The pair came up with the idea of widely available draws after attending a fundraiser which offered tickets to watch a basketball game with Magic Johnson.

Has anyone won an Omaze House Draw?

Omaze has already sold several properties in the UK through their house draws. Darren Wordon won a £2.5m home in the Cotswolds and Becca Pott won a £3.5m mansion in Ascot, with £20,000 to help her settle in, after paying £10 to enter the draw. Winners include Birmingham's Rebecca Doyle who bagged herself the Cornwall house (£3.2m), Sarah Stocks from Essex won the £3.2m Cotswold house, and Graham Dunlop who won a 3m villa in Mallorca.

Michael Mar from Luton won a home in Somerset, Oceanne Belle from Barking won a house in London, Simon Williams in West Sussex bagged a house in Devon while Bournemouth's Darren Bell moved into a new home in Norfolk. More grand prize winners include Eliza Yahioglu from London who won a home in Yorkshire, Cardiff's Will Satherly who won the Cotwold house, Essex's June Smith who bagged a Cornwall home, and East London's Kevin Johnson who walked away with another place in London.

The final batch of winners includes Glasgow's Grant Carson who bagged a home in the Lake District, Devon's Mark Taylor who won a home in Marbella, and Uttam Parmar from Leicester who won a home in Cornwall.

Wales Online reported that Becca and her husband Ben said the prize was life-changing. Becca said: “My husband had entered every Omaze Million Pound House Draw prior to this one, but somehow he’d forgotten to enter on this occasion. Luckily I decided to buy a £10 ticket bundle in January without him knowing after seeing the house on television, I’m never going to let him live this down!

“The house is incredible, we’ve been wanting to move to somewhere bigger since our daughter Ava was born, now she’ll be having her first birthday in a mansion! We didn’t have space for her grandparents to come and stay in our two-bedroom flat, but now they can have the entire third floor when they visit. This win is truly life-changing for us. We'll stay here and enjoy the house for the summer at least, but whatever we decide to do, we know Ava is set for life."
