Dog Plays Fetch in Western New York Snow Trench

A dog enjoyed a game of fetch in a narrow trench excavated in the deep snow by his owner at their home in Hamburg, south of Buffalo, New York, on Thursday, January 18.

Footage uploaded to X by Richard Hulburd, who regularly posts weather videos on his @weather_buffalo account, shows his dog Ben running excitedly through the pathway, with snow towering on either side of him.

According to the National Weather Service, the Buffalo area experienced heavy lake-effect snow on Thursday, with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Credit: Weather_Buffalo via Storyful
