Dothan to celebrate fallen firefighters

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Dothan Fire Department is asking people around Circle City to participate in the nationwide honoring of fallen firefighters.

On Saturday, May 4, citizens are asked to light buildings and homes in red to honor fallen firefighters.

“This nationwide effort to turn our communities red is in its fifth year of paying tribute to our
fallen brothers and sisters across the country,” said Dothan Fire Chief Larry Williams. “Tragically, we lose too many firefighters each year in the line of duty, both career and volunteer.”
