Doug King announces 'statement of intent' as Coventry City season ticket details revealed

Doug King today told fans that Coventry City are ‘dreaming big’ as he revealed that season ticket prices are being frozen for the 2024/25 Championship campaign and will go on sale from midday on Monday.

The Sky Blues had record sales of 19,500 for the season just gone, and the club hopes to sell even more this time around with the added incentive of keeping the same prices as 2023/24 – in what the executive chairman insists is a clear ‘statement of intent’.

That means the cheapest adult ticket in the Standard Zone at the CBS Arena remains fixed at £400 (early bird price), while concessions (over-65s and 18-21s) will pay £360, Under-18s will pay £225 and Under-14s £125. The Premium Zone prices are £480 for adults while in the Family Zone an adult will pay £250 with an Under-14 charged £50.

The club says it has made the decision to freeze the prices “despite continued significant inflation pressures to thank fans for their magnificent support and to encourage as many of the expanding Sky Blue Army as possible to secure a seat for all 23 home league games of the 2024/25 campaign.”

The announcement was made today with a video launch, showcasing a ‘Football club on the up’ and encouraging the Sky Blue Army to ‘Dream Big, Aim High and Play Up,’ while also featuring City players, fans and manager Mark Robins.

Fans with a Premier League package will be able to renew again, whilst a Premier League Package 2.0 will also be opened up to new supporters who wish to sign up with the prospect of a free season ticket the first time that City reach the top-flight.

There will be the usual Family Zone, Standard Zone and Premium Zone price options for supporters, plus a range of Premium Membership packages for fans who want to enjoy the campaign in hospitality – including the new Balcony Street Bar package!

Coventry City Owner and Executive Chairman Doug King said: “I am delighted to announce details of 2024/25 Season Tickets.

“We are all looking forward to next season and know the difference that the Sky Blue Army at the Coventry Building Society Arena can make. After record attendances last season, we want to see even more supporters, who are the lifeblood of our Club, driving our team towards our goals. Our intention is to make the Coventry Building Society Arena a fortress.

“By filling the stadium, allowing the club to continue to invest in the team, you enable this journey to continue with momentum towards our end goal. By freezing prices at 23/24 levels, the Club is making a statement of intent that it requires no new financial sacrifice from our expanding fan base it just wants you to join and enjoy the journey.

“The 23/24 campaign was another amazing one for the Club and our supporters, with us reaching the FA Cup Semi-Final and being in contention for a place in the Championship Play-Offs for much of the campaign.

“As our aspirational launch video says, we are dreaming big and aiming high. Coventry is a powerful and strong city and deserves a fantastic football team. We want and need you with us on this journey and look forward to seeing the Arena packed again next season.”
