Dozens Killed While Receiving Food Aid in Gaza

The Gaza health ministry blamed Israeli forces for the death of at least 104 people and the wounding of another 700 who had gathered to collect food aid from trucks in Gaza in the early hours of Thursday, February 29.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said “dozens of Gazans were killed and injured” as a “result of the pushing, trampling and being run over by the trucks” as they surrounded the vehicles. However, the IDF did say its soldiers had fired on Palestinians who approached them, killing up to 10 people, according to the Times of Israel.
