RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Violet Chachki and Gottmik have set plans to collaborate with Cardi B for a new project.

The trio were attending a private event in California earlier this week to promote the rapper’s new vodka-infused whipped cream, and she subsequently asked the pair if they would be interested in directing an upcoming music video.

“B***h! I would pay you to direct it… we will direct you the house [down],” said Violet (via Pink News). “That would be my dream job."

“Are you kidding me? The way we’re going to cinch this waist even smaller,” said Gottmik, who finished in third place during the 13th series.

Cardi B, who is best known for her breakout single ‘Bodak Yellow’, added: “I love you guys. You guys are so creative, so amazing. You’re legendary, and I really want you to direct my music video.”

Drag Race has expanded its reach ever since its debut season, with the latest instalment set to welcome Mexican contestants later this year. The new series will be hosted by former contestant Valentina, and they spoke about the opportunity to front the competition.

“To be coming into a position of now being a host, it's such an artistic challenge and a graduation,” she said. “The next level in my career is in changing the history of the way people view queer people and queer stories in Mexico. It's truly an honour.

“I was in a bilingual household where both languages were being spoken, so culturally, I know a lot of references. Having worked in Mexico for very long periods of time is something that I’m using as a big source of inspiration for things that I do artistically.

“I'm 100 percent Californian. I'm 100 percent Mexican and it is an honour to be waving both of those flags at this moment,” she added.

RuPaul's Drag Race US airs on MTV in the US and WOW Presents Plus in the UK.
