Eyewitness Ryan Holmes, who shot the video, said it appeared a shed was involved. In the clip, it can be seen being completely engulfed by bright orange flames which are lapping up into the air and sending plumes of smoke billowing out over the densely populated residential area.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue (GMFRS) said the main building of the house was also affected. The fire was put out in under an hour. No one was inside the property and one was injured GMFRS have confirmed.

Ryan, 20, said: "I just looked out my window and saw the that a whole shed was up in flames. I think, I caught it not long after it started and i just froze for a second shouted my mum.

"I think she called emergency services and then about 8-10 minutes later the fire department came and handled the situation and the house was smoked out completely. I'd like to credit the firefighters for getting there so quickly."
