'Loud' by Drew Afualo

Afualo rose to fame in 2020, when she became fed up with the sexist, racist and otherwise bigoted speech she saw on social media. She turned to TikTok, where her straightforward and witty videos taking down misogyny blew up.

Known for her signature laugh, Afualo currently has 7.9 million followers on the app, and over 9 million across all of her social media platforms. She has been dubbed the internet’s “Crusader for Women,” per a statement shared with PEOPLE.

LOUD
will bring Afualo's message of positivity offline. The book, which will be part memoir, part manifesto, details her mission for a more inclusive future, while also touching upon her family life and Samoan heritage. The book will also offer ways for readers to empower themselves within a patriarchal society.

I'm so happy to be publishing this book, and can't wait for all of you to read it.”
