Lots of people wish there was a quick way to lose weight, and it's alleged you can now do so in your sleep.

A TikTok theory has been doing the rounds claiming if you drink one simple thing before bed then you can burn fat every night. It may seem mindblowing, but people say it works.

One clip, shared by meaganonline, said the method also helps to boost hair growth and improve your skin. The hack has gone viral after it was claimed rice "unlocks and accelerates" fat buring.

According to Meagan, all you need is two cups of water and three tablespoons of rice. You need to boil it for 15 minutes before draining it, and Meagan is seen adding a little salt.

In the video, she explained a study reported that the starch present in the rice helps to "inhibit fat accumulation". She also said rice water promotes gut health, and keeps you hydrated.

According to the content creator, this both curbs your appetite and boosts your metabolism. She also noted it's helped to really boost the quality of her hair.

To help people out, she said she takes eight ounces of the rice water, and she adds a hormone balancing powder to it before drinking. She dubs the homemade drink "magic", as it helps to completely transform her body.

Understandably, the video has attracted a lot of attention, and people can't believe how many benefits the rice water has. Some people said the trick really works.

One person wrote: "14lb down in almost two weeks. My skin is glowing." Another added: "Five days, lost five pounds." A third also replied: "Day three and I'm 5lbs down. So far it's working."

Some weren't so convinced by the method though, and aired their concerns. One person admitted they're "sceptical" about the method, even though they have dropped a few pounds.

One chimed in with: "What am I doing wrong? I did the exact this exact thing and nothing." Another noted: "I've been on it for a week, but haven't lost."

Meanwhile, others thought the recipe needed tweaking a little. Some said they add lime juice to the mix, while others claimed they don't boil the rice first. It appears there's more than one way to sample the interesting rice recipe.
