Drinkers watched a 57-year-old woman attack an 'innocent victim' outside a North Staffordshire pub. The violence erupted outside the Gresley Arms, in Alsagers Bank, at 8.15pm on Saturday, May 4.

One eye-witness told StokeonTrentLive: "There was an unprovoked attack outside the Gresley Arms. A woman has been arrested and drinkers watched her attack an innocent victim."

Staffordshire Police have since slapped the attacker with a community resolution. These are handed out in certain cases where there has been an admission of guilt.

A police spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a fight, on High Street, Alsagers Bank. A 57-year-old woman, from Newcastle, was arrested on suspicion of assault by beating. She was given a community resolution."
