Footage posted on social media shows a careless driver cutting up a police officer on a motorbike at a roundabout. Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed that the driver was reported following the incident.

The driver can be seen turning left at a roundabout junction without stopping and the force have urged motorcyclists to remain vigilant. They said the driver of the vehicle pulled out in front of the officer despite them riding a "big yellow bike" and wearing a high-visibility jacket.

Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team said in a post on X: "Motorcyclists keep your head on a swivel. Don't think a give way line will save you.

"If this can happen to us on a big yellow bike with a high vis then it can happen to any one of us. Driver reported."

Carl Eve replied to the post: "That always sends a shivver down my spine when that happens to me. HGV at Cattedown roundabout a few years ago pulled across me and would have turned me to jam but for an eighth of a second."
