Driver ran off after hitting boy, four, with car

A young child was hurt in a hit-and-run incident in Ellesmere Port.

Just before 4.30pm on Thursday, 27 June, a four-year-old was struck by a black car on Rochester Drive, near Durham Court.

Paramedics treated the child at the scene before taking them to hospital as a precaution. They had suffered minor injuries and have since been discharged. The driver of the car did not stop and fled towards Thornton Road, police said on Monday.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and officers are eager to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision.

They would also appreciate any dashcam or CCTV footage that could assist the investigation.
