Drivers who caused serious injury by careless driving banned from the roads - Hull court round-up

Two people who caused serious injury by careless driving have been banned from the roads by magistrates in Hull.

Appearing at Hull Magistrates' Court, many motorists from across Hull and East Yorkshire were handed lengthy driving bans and hefty fines for a range of driving offences, including driving whilst under the influence of drink or drugs.

Here are seven people who have been sentenced for driving offences at Hull Magistrates' Court in recent days.

Luiza Kotaba, 33, of Paragon Street, Hull indicated a plea of guilty to causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving. She was disqualified from driving for 12 months and given a community order with the requirement to undertake 48 hours of unpaid work, and ordered to pay a £114 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Aras Ahmad, 36, of 38th Avenue, Hull indicated a plea of guilty to causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay a fine of £240, a £96 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Lois Wainman, 39, of Westbourne Street, Hull pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention, failing to stop after a road traffic accident and failing to report that road traffic accident. She was disqualified from driving for six months and ordered to pay a fine of £615, a victim services surcharge of £246 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Floyd Kettley, 20, of North Lane, Welwick pleaded guilty to driving whilst under the influence of cannabis. He was disqualified from driving for one year and ordered to pay £300 in compensation, a £120 victim services surcharge and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Vasilis Mikulin, 57, of White Street, Hull pleaded guilty to driving whilst above the legal alcohol limit. He was disqualified from driving for two years, given a community order with a requirement to complete 60 hours of unpaid work and ordered to pay a victim services surcharge of £114 and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Caroline Milner, 49, of Hotham Road South, Hull pleaded guilty to driving whilst above the legal alcohol limit. She was disqualified from driving for 20 months and ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service, a fine of £40 and a victim services surcharge of £16.

Kevin Jones, 58, of 5th Avenue, Hull pleaded guilty to driving whilst above the legal alcohol limit. He was disqualified from driving for one year and ordered to pay a fine of £323, a £129 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
