Drone Footage Reveals Devastation From Texas Panhandle Fires

Aerial footage captured the extent of the destruction caused by wildfires near a Texas Panhandle town after snowy weather moved through parts of the region on Thursday, February 29.

Buzzed Drone Company shot this video of Fritch and the nearby Potter County after the Windy Deuce fire burned the area. It shows “some of the devastation the Texas Panhandle faces with homes, property, and livestock burnt to the ground” and the “snow we got right after the fire burned through this area.”

The Texas A&M Forest Service said that the moisture and cooler air that moved through the region on Thursday helped firefighters make progress on containing the blazes. Credit: Buzzed Drone Company via Storyful
