Drone Gives Bird's-Eye View of Spotted Eagle Rays Swimming Near Beachgoers in Florida

A pair of spotted eagle rays were seen swimming close to shore at a Florida beach earlier this month.

Beautiful drone footage filmed by Vero Beach-based videographer Adam Larrabee shows the duo gliding through the water at Sexton Plaza Beach as people wade nearby.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, spotted eagle rays are “non-aggressive” and pose little danger to humans, but handling them should be avoided due to the “defensive venomous barb” near the base of the tail. Credit: Adam Larrabee via Storyful
