Drug Dealers Jailed After Hour-Long Car Chase in Sussex, Police Say

Two drug dealers who led police on an hour-long high-speed pursuit through Sussex on July 12 were sentenced for dangerous driving on October 26, according to police.

Sussex Police said 28-year-old Patrick McCabe, was sentenced to two years and five months in prison and given a new disqualification from driving for five years and four months. The passenger, 19-year-old Ronnie Beckett, was sentenced to 17 weeks in prison, they said.

Police said the pair were ultimately arrested in Horley after leaving the vehicle on foot and trying to hide in people’s gardens. A Gucci bag and a Versace bag containing cannabis and cash were found inside their vehicle, Sussex Police said.
