It was a busy night for police as they stopped a number of motorists who were committing driving offences in the same town. A driver who had no insurance was flagged to police but when they were stopped they were also found to be under the influence of drugs.

Police stopped a Ford Focus in Newquay last night (Saturday, May 4) for driving without insurance. Officers suspected the driver was under the influence of drugs and they were asked to do a roadside drugs test.

The result of the test came back positive for cannabis. Police also found drugs in the vehicle.
