Drug gang charged after £1m cannabis farm found in Leeds

Six men have been arrested and charged following the discovery of a cannabis farm valued at just under £1 million at a property in Leeds.

A warrant was executed by West Yorkshire Police at a property on Upper Accommodation Road in the East End Park area of the city on Sunday (May 19). Once inside, officers discovered a cannabis farm valued at £970,200.

Six men were arrested and have since been charged with production of a Class B drug.

They are Sandel-Lucian Butara, aged 33 years, of Lawson Street, Manchester; and Andi Cjapi, aged 24 years; Ilirjan Pilo, aged 23 years; Besnik Sulovari, aged 26 years; Valter Sulovari, aged 27 years; and Emiljano Tumani, aged 29 years, all of no fixed abode.

The six men appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court on Tuesday (May 21) and were remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court on June 20.
