Drugs Don't Work seminar set for May 22
May 7—VALDOSTA — The South Georgia Employer Committee and the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce will present an employment law update seminar featuring Chris Manning, associate executive director of The Council on Alcohol and Drugs.
The seminar will be held 9 a.m. to noon May 22 at Valdosta City Hall Annex, 300 N. Lee St. Registration and continental breakfast will be held from 8:30 — 9 a.m.
The Council on Alcohol and Drugs works to help thousands of businesses, government agencies, and non-profits, which employ millions of employees, to navigate complex drug free workplace issues.
This seminar is designed to meet the needs of business owners, managers, human resources professionals, and other professionals with interest in labor and employment law, according to a press release from the South Georgia Employer Committee.
Topics will include drug-free workplace, DOT training and compliance, statewide prevention services and programs, drug-free family strategies and safe storage and disposal of prescription drugs.
Registrations received post-marked by Friday, May 17, will be $15. Registrations post-marked after that date or at the door will be $20 per person. Please make checks payable to SGEC, complete registration and mail or email.
