Drugs worth £286k and £10k in cash found by cops after pulling over car on Scots motorway

Police discovered £286,000 worth of drugs and £10,000 in cash after pulling over a car on the motorway.

Officers from Police Scotland acting on intelligence stopped the vehicle on the M73 near Baillieston before recovering drugs and money at around 9.15pm on Friday, April 26.

A warrant was then executed at a property on Langlands Place in Cumbernauld and a further quantity of cannabis was recovered at around 1.45am on Saturday.

The 30-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
