Dua Lipa clapped back with a succinct three-word rebuttal following allegations that she was lip-synching during her Glastonbury Festival headline performance on Friday. The 28 year old chart-topper put on a full-throttle show on the Pyramid Stage, complete with high-energy dance routines, star-studded guests and fireworks.

But despite the epic spectacle, some naysayers on social media have accused the Grammy Award-winning artist of miming. Dua Lipa's response was unambiguous. She spoke out backstage telling The Mail on Sunday: "I don't mime."

In her debut as a headliner at Glastonbury, Dua Lipa took time to share how 'grateful' she was for the 'magic experience. She revealed she had manifested her performance as a headliner - and specifically wanted to perform on Friday night for one reason. She told the crowd: "When I wrote it down I was very specific.

"I said I really want to headline the Pyramid stage on a Friday night because then I knew I could party for the next two days in the best place on earth." Dua Lipa added: "I'm trying to stay present, I'm trying to take it all in, I'm trying to feel every moment. I don't want to let this pass me by, I feel so grateful.

"I know some of you don't believe in manifestation, my parents always said you have to work really really hard to get a little bit of luck so I really stand by that as well, but one thing that's undeniable is magic. Because when I look out at you guys that is what I feel."

While many fans were thrilled by Dua Lipa's performance, which was a hit among festival-goers, there were detractors who aired their grievances on X, previously known as Twitter. Some insisted that she was lip-synching her songs, with one user sharply commenting: "Dua Lipa is 100% miming #Glastonbury".

Another viewer was critical of Dua's performance, commenting: "What a shame #Glastonbury has a headline act on that's obviously miming her vocals", while another questioned: "Is she actually miming? #Glastonbury."

However, many fans were quick to defend the star. One fan argued: "No Dua Lipa is not miming. Majority of the main vocal parts are quite clearly live. She's smashing it and everyone on stage look like they're having the time of their lives."

Another added: "All these haters saying she's miming... are you b****y stupid???? She's clearly not! She's killing it."
