Dudley pub and hotel reopens after major revamp
DUDLEY pub and hotel Himley House has reopened its doors today (Monday April 22) after a major revamp.
Part of the Chef and Brewer Collection of country pubs, the venue - which was once part of the Himley Hall estate - has been given a more contemporary look and feel internally and externally thanks to a seven-figure investment.
The interior has been redecorated, to incorporate a new bar, four log fires and updated décor and furnishings, to create a more vibrant setting while retaining the traditional features of the venue situated next to Himley Hall and Park.
The lobby area has also been re-designed.
Outside, the garden terrace has undergone a full re-fit, with a covered and heated seating area installed so guests can enjoy al fresco dining throughout the year.
All 21 hotel rooms have also been revamped, with new furniture and fittings including re-fitted bathrooms.
Andrew Colley, general manager of Himley House, said: “Myself and the rest of the team couldn’t be more excited to reopen after watching our pub transform throughout the beginning of this year.
“As the weather starts to improve, we know that our transformed garden terrace will be a big hit within the community.
“We’re also in an ideal location being situated next to Himley Hall, so we look forward to welcoming old faces back, and to see some new ones too.”
