Dulux Decorator Centre is calling all decorators and tradespeople to take part in a 'Canmesty' this May.

The initiative is part of the company's ambitious plan to triple the number of paint cans recycled by 2025, in line with its sustainability commitments.

For the month of May, Dulux Decorator Centre aims to encourage recycling of as many used paint cans as possible and make recycling a year-round habit for its customers.

The company's free recycling service accepts any brand of paint can, and is available all year round.

This service supports customers' sustainability credentials, and reduces waste sent to landfill.

Empty paint cans can be brought to local Dulux Decorator Centre stores, or picked up during scheduled product delivery.

The cans are taken to the Veolia Material Recovery Facility, where plastic cans are processed and returned to the plastics market, while metal cans are melted into new steel and sold to the general market.

This launch is followed by a contest which gives customers the opportunity to win one of five product bundles.

Winners will be announced by the end of June.

With this campaign, Dulux Decorator Centre also aims to raise awareness for sustainable habits and reduce carbon footprint.
