Former 'Dynasty' star Emma Samms praises BBC newsreader partner for his COVID support

Former Dynasty actor Emma Samms has praised her BBC newsreader partner Simon McCoy for helping her deal with the long-term effects of COVID-19.

Samms, who played Fallon Carrington Colby on the series, has opened up about the effects of COVID on her health since she initially contracted it in March last year.

She described McCoy, 59, and his support as "absolutely amazing".

"Every day is different, some good and some bad, ranging from shortness of breath and chest pain to extreme fatigue," the 60-year-old told Hello! magazine.

"Simon has been absolutely amazing, taking me to the hospital and waiting outside for hours, and just doing as much as he possibly could to help.

"He's given me emotional support, too; I'll never be able to thank him enough for his kindness."

She was photographed at her home in the Cotswolds with McCoy and her 22-year-old daughter Micha.

Samms and some of her Dynasty co-stars including Heather Locklear and Stephanie Beacham have reunited to raise funds for the Southmead Hospital Charity and for patients suffering with long COVID.

News of Samms and McCoy's relationship was made public last year, with the presenter telling the MailOnline: "We are very happy together."

Samms has been married three times before and shares two grown-up children with her third husband John Holloway.

McCoy split from his second wife Victoria Graham after 12 years of marriage in 2019. He has one son from a previous marriage.
