Eamonn Holmes is rumoured to be in the running for the next series of Celebrity Big Brother, with whispers there could be a six-figure offer on the table.

It's claimed the 64-year-old TV presenter is being "courted" by show producers to appear in the house for around £250,000. This comes weeks after the news that Eamonn has parted ways with his wife, Ruth Langsford, also 64.

Celebrity Big Brother made a comeback in March after five-years, featuring household names like Louis Walsh and Fern Britton. Now, it's being suggested Eamonn is being eyed up for the next series, reports the Mirror.

A source told ld the Sun that bookers for the reality TV show are "drawing up a wish list" of housemates, adding that GB News presenter Eamonn is on it. They added that those behind Celebrity Big Brother would "love" for him to take part and suspect that he would be a "popular" housemate.

The source also touched on Eamonn's health issues, including back problems, in recent years, with the presenter said to still be having mobility issues and experiencing pain. They said: "Eamonn's health concerns are something they would take into account and, when they package up an offer, they would make assurances to him that he would be looked after in the house."

It was also mentioned that the offer could be a "meaty" six-figure sum of around £250,000 to "try and tempt him in". A source disclosed to the publication: "Eamonn has always been wanted for Celebrity Big Brother but has never wanted to take part. His split with Ruth and the fact he had to sell his house in Belfast to pay a huge tax bill makes the bookers think his head could be turned."

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, who were co-hosts on This Morning, confirmed they are going their separate ways after over a decade of marriage, as per their joint statement last month. The statement said: "[They] have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing."

The pair tied the knot in 2010, although they've been together for over twenty years. Together, they share a son, Jack Holmes, aged 22, and Ruth has played the role of stepmother to Eamonn's three other children from a previous relationship.

The most recent season of Celebrity Big Brother aired for several weeks in March this year, crowning reality TV personality David Potts as the winner. He triumphed over fellow finalists including Strictly Come Dancing's Nikita Kuzmin, Coronation Street actor Colson Smith, and other participants Louis and Fern.
