Eamonn Holmes unexpectedly left his GB News show live on air due to illness.

The Belfast born presenter, who recently admitted to The Mirror that he feels he's living on 'borrowed time', sparked concern when he disappeared during a 7:45am interview with Mental Health Minister Maria Caulfield on Tuesday.

Eamonn, known for his forthright style, remained silent throughout the interview, leaving co-presenter Isabel Webster to question the MP. He then abruptly left the studio, with Isabel continuing to host the breakfast programme alone for an hour and a half.

This incident follows shortly after Eamonn shared with the Mirror at the TRIC Awards that he was "not ok" in the wake of his split from Ruth Langsford.

A GB News spokesperson commented: "Eamonn had to finish a little earlier today as he was feeling unwell. He hopes to be back tomorrow.", reports the Mirror.

Despite health concerns, a close source told MailOnline that Eamonn is keeping his spirits up. Eamonn, aged 64, has faced several health issues in recent years.
