Earith crash sees firefighters rescue injured woman from vehicle

An injured woman was rescued from her vehicle by firefighters after a crash on Colne Road in Earith on Wednesday (June 19). The casualty was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

A Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "At 3.49pm, crews from Huntingdon and Ely were called to a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on Colne Road in Earith.

"Using specialist equipment, firefighters released a casualty who was left in the care of ambulance crews. The crews returned to their stations by 6.10pm."

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: "We were called at about 3.30pm with reports of a collision between two vehicles on Colne Road, Earith. Officers attended but details of injuries are not clear on our logs. No arrests made."

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 3.31pm yesterday with reports of a collision in Colne Road, Earith.

"We sent an ambulance and an ambulance officer vehicle. One woman was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital for further care."
