East Budleigh Scarecrow festival set to return next month

East Budleigh's Scarecrow Festival will be returning to town from Saturday June 8 to June 9.

As well as providing an imaginative display of scarecrows created by our village residents using their wit and invention, there are plenty of activities and refreshments to enjoy.

The Village Hall will provide refreshments from 11am and 4pm each day, along with stalls featuring local crafts and activities, cakes, pre-loved books, and plants.

The ‘Roger Conant Duck Race’. will also take place on Saturday and Sunday.

Businesses have donated prizes to be won. To win a prize, head to the ticket station. Organisers thank Gilbert Stephens Solicitors for sponsoring the event.

At the church, knitted garments being prepared to send to Moldova with the charity CR2EE. There will be a chance to go up the bell tower and try your hand at bell ringing on both afternoons between 2 and 4pm.
