A Lancashire bed specialist is celebrating 65 years of delivering sleep health expertise and supporting local community initiatives.

Prestige Beds continues its legacy across the region aiming for a record of steady growth and community commitment.

The third-generation family business is well-known for supporting local charities, contributing to Blackburn and Darwen Youth Zone, Nightsafe, and Cash For Kids Lancashire.

The firm recently announced a partnership with the East Lancashire Hospice, committing to donate a part of every sale from its Alma mattress range to the cause.

Managing director, Giuseppe Dunne, said: "As we celebrate this milestone, we renew our commitment to providing expert knowledge, quality products, outstanding service and meaningful contributions to the communities we serve."

His son, James Dunne, the company's operations director, added: "We are more committed than ever in pursuing our mission to help as many people as possible in our local communities sleep better as a means to improve one's mental and physical health and overall quality of life."

Prestige Beds has recently undergone a £300k refurbishment of its Whitebirk showroom to enhance customer shopping experience and to highlight its vast range of beds.

Mr Dunne said: "We look forward to the years ahead with excitement as our business evolves enabling us to deliver the best possible customer experience."

The bed specialist's reputation has earned it several industry awards, including Ad of the Year from National Bed Federation and Bed Retailer Of The Year in 2017 and 2020.

Reflecting on the company's 65-year journey, Mr Dunne said: "Reaching our 65th year in business is a momentous occasion for Prestige Beds.

"We are immensely proud of our heritage as a family-run business and grateful for the trust and loyalty of our customers."
