EastEnders has aired a shocking kiss for Linda Carter and Alfie Moon.
The soap has been hinting at a potential romantic connection for Linda and Alfie for several months and they finally gave way to their passion in Thursday's (February 1) episode.
In recent months, Linda has supported Alfie through his prostate cancer diagnosis while he has tried to back his friend up against torment from evil Dean Wicks.

In Thursday's instalment, Linda received a text message from Alfie suggesting they meet to discuss what she'd told him in a potentially incriminating conversation.
Linda was understandably horrified that she may have confessed her involvement in the death of Keanu Taylor on Christmas Day.
She was so frightened of blowing her secret that she started drinking again. By the time she met up with Alfie, Linda tried to convince him she was still hung up on Mick's death.
An oblivious Alfie filled in the dots for her, suggesting that her comments about 'what she'd done' were actually about the events leading up to Mick's disappearance.
Linda shared her very real guilt about the way things ended with Mick, from her drinking to not warning him soon enough about Janine Butcher's evil intentions.
"I've lost Mick. I've lost my kids. I don't even know who I am anyway," she admitted.
Although she confessed to feeling "lost and broken for good", Linda assured Alfie that she wasn't serious about ending her life.
"I'm here for you. I'll always be here for you," Alfie insisted.
Alfie stopped Linda from leaving, telling her he thought she was "amazing" and "an absolute diamond".
"In fact, you're all the diamonds anyone could ever ask for," he declared.

There was a fraught moment between the friends before Linda pulled Alfie for a kiss! The two were left staring at one another in shock as the episode left off.
Shane Richie has previously suggested that he would like to see Alfie and Linda get together romantically after being friends for so long.
"Me and Kellie Bright [who plays Linda] were talking and we would love to see something happen," he said. "It might ignite some jealousy in Kat if she sees Alfie with someone else."
In the aftermath of their kiss, Alfie and Linda will be contemplating an exit from Walford as they look towards the future in upcoming scenes.
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
