EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw hints Little Mo return

EastEnders fans could be in for a treat with the BBC show's boss hinting that Little Mo Slater could return to Walford.

The show's current Executive Producer, Chris Clenshaw, appeared on Loose Women today (February 24), and although he remained tight-lipped, he let drop one nugget which could leave the door to The Queen Vic wide open to a fan favourite.

Kacey Ainsworth played Little Mo from 2000 until 2006 in the soap. But with her son Freddie, played by Bobby Brazier, joining the show last year, fans have been speculating if Little Mo could return.

Speaking to Kaye Adams and co, Clenshaw said: "Freddie is in the show, and so there is every chance Little Mo could pop back to Walford..."

Ainsworth has previously mentioned that her schedule with filming Grantchester might be too tricky, but fans may be pleasantly surprised with this recent update.

Clenshaw also shared some other EastEnd gossip. On the future of the pub, he said: "What you will have seen this week is that Janine – who is in prison with his [Mick's] unborn baby – is selling his share of The Vic.

"Currently we have Nish Panesar and Sharon desperately trying to get their hands on the keys to the castle, but Linda is in secret talks with someone else."

He added: "What I will say is, her knight in shining armour isn't who you'll expect it to be."

If that wasn't enough to tease fans, Clenshaw commented on the fate of Mick Carter, played by Danny Dyer, who disappeared at sea, and said: "There is an unwritten rule in soap: if there's not a body, there's every chance.

"Will Mick rock up in The Vic covered in seaweed? Will he be the dead body at Christmas? [laughs]."

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
