EastEnders confirms Kim and Howie’s return in upcoming scenes

EastEnders has confirmed the return of Kim Fox and Howie Danes in new scenes on the soap.

The couple departed Walford back in January after Howie was offered a temporary job on a cruise ship, with the exits coming due stars Tameka Empson and Delroy Atkinson's commitments away from the show.

In new scenes set to air next Monday (June 10), Kim and Howie walk into No 20 as Denzel and Nugget are partying with friends from gym, with the event getting out of hand.

Chelsea covers Denzel when he is interrogated by Howie and Kim after the party, though later on at The Vic, Chelsea is suspicious of Denzel when he departs the family gathering.

Later on in the week on Wednesday (June 12), Yolande and Patrick return – having departed for a holiday last month after she told Levi that Pastor Clayton sexually assaulted her.

Kim scolds Yolande and Patrick for leaving Denzel on his own while Howie struggles to connect with his son. Howie later interrupts Denzel as he meets with Ebony, leading his son to storm off in embarrassment.

Yolande grows concerned about Levi's lack of communication, and asks Chelsea at The Vic where he is.

Chelsea delights Yolande and Patrick by asking them to be Jordan's godparents, though the heartfelt moment is dashed when Chelsea admits that Levi has left Albert Square.

Earlier this year, Tameka opened up about Kim and Howie's exit, telling The One Show: "Kim's gonna be okay! She's gonna be okay - she's going on a nice cruise with Howie and the children. She's going to be enjoying herself. She'll be fine!"

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
