EastEnders explains missing character in Milton Keynes episode

EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders has addressed the whereabouts of a missing character in Whitney Dean's special Milton Keynes episode.

The soap started laying the groundwork for Shona McGarty's exit from the BBC One soap in Monday's (March 4) episode when she visited step-mum Bianca Jackson in Milton Keynes.

While Whitney and partner Zack Hudson were getting settled in, there was a bit of information about a missing character who viewers may have expected to see.

When Whitney asked Bianca how her son Morgan Butcher was doing, she was told he wouldn't be able to drop in for her visit.

"He's got a girlfriend, he's obsessed, I hardly see him," Bianca explained.

Morgan was originally played by Devon Higgs when he was child, during his original stint in Walford between 2008 and 2014.

Morgan briefly made a return, alongside sister Tiffany, in 2016 when Bianca's children attended Whitney's ill-fated wedding to Lee Carter.

Viewers know why a few of Morgan's other siblings weren't present in Milton Keynes either, as Tiffany moved to Germany alongside husband Keegan Baker two years ago.

The pair went to live with Tiffany and Morgan's brother Liam, who'd moved to Germany years earlier with girlfriend Cindy Williams.

There was an unfortunate update recently when Cindy Beale revealed her daughter Cindy had split from Liam and was living on her own in Germany.

Monday's episode still had plenty of drama for Whitney when she discovered Bianca's neighbour, a girl named Britney, was being neglected by her mother.

Whitney offered to take Britney in, but when the girl refused, Whitney was accidentally hit by a car as she chased after her. Viewers will find out more about Whitney's condition — and that of her unborn child — in Tuesday's episode.

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
