EastEnders started off the week on Monday (July 16) with an S Club arrival and a truly grim confrontation between Tina Carter and Stuart Highway.

Last Friday's (July 13) episode ended with the cliffhanger of Tina (Luisa Bradshaw-White) threatening revenge on "evil" Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ) for trapping her in a car boot years ago as part of a sick game called "Torturer".

The urgency of Tina's plotting escalated on Monday when she discovered that Stuart was planning to move in to one of Jack's flats. Ignoring Sonia's (Natalie Cassidy) advice to report him to the police, Tina lured Stuart to the club and threatened him with a corkscrew to the crotch to try to get a confession.

"I need you gone," she demanded. "I mean it."

Stuart profusely denied having anything to do with kidnapping Tina back in the day, and eventually was able to talk her down, telling her: "I've got your back. I'm going to find the person who did this and I'm going to punish him for you."

However, the question remains whether he was actually telling the truth (warning: NSFW tweets below):

Meanwhile, Hannah Spearritt made her return to Albert Square as Karen Taylor's (Lorraine Stanley) sister Kandice. This time, Kandice turned up on her sister's doorstep to help her get out of - wait for it - having to climb an actual mountain.

Kandice was supposed to be taking part in a fundraiser organised by her golf club, but didn't want to actually have to do it. After some classic Taylor family bickering, the Taylors agreed to help Kandice pull off her scheme.

Meanwhile, the Slaters were having problems of their own when they caught Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) helping Hayley (Katie Jarvis) trying to break into the cab, forcing Jean (Gillian Wright) to tell the others about Hayley's illegal cab business.

Surprisingly, Mo Harris (Laila Morse) gave Hayley an alibi when a furious Kat (Jessie Wallace) questioned if she was trying to carry on the illegal driving, only for Mo to then sneakily demand a cut of the profits going forward.

Donna Yates (Lisa Hammond) put the next phase of her own plot with Cora Cross (Ann Mitchell) into action by inviting Robbie Jackson (Dean Gaffney) to move in with her, and then sought out Rainie's (Tanya Franks) dealer after Rainie cut him off.

EastEnders continues on Tuesday (July 16) at 7.30pm on BBC One.
