EastEnders will air more shocking news for George Knight that is sure to leave the former boxer concerned. Next week episodes kick off with George finding out that Eddie Knight held Gloria's funeral without telling him leaving, him devastated.

As the former boxer struggles to cope with the loss of his mum, he contacts Rufus to arrange another fight at the underground boxing club. Meanwhile, Gina and Anna Knight come up with the idea of holding a memorial for Gloria in The Queen Vic to help George grieve. Anna also invites George's estranged son Junior to join the family for the occasion.

On Wednesday (May 8), Gloria's special day arrives but George is nursing more injuries from his illegal fight the night before. There's more disappointment as Junior doesn't turn up for his grandmother's memorial but things take a turn for the worse when George gets dizzy and almost collapses.

Realising what is going on, his ex-wife Cindy Beale and pal Phil Mitchell urge George to go to the hospital. George agrees and gets a CAT scan but he is later informed he has a brain condition linked to repeated blows to the head. The doctor then tells him that one bad knock could kill him.

Elaine Peacock is furious to find out her other half has been fighting, along with Anna and Gina who fume that their mum Cindy knew about it. When George returns home, he's greeted by Rufus who gives him cash for last night's fight and offers him another boxing match while Cindy watches on.

Cindy is upset that the girls aren’t speaking to her because she kept George’s boxing secret. They eventually agree to meet her for lunch, where Cindy promises to convince George not to fight again.

Later, during a tense conversation, George initially rejects Cindy’s suggestion of online therapy to help him cope with his overwhelming emotions, but she talks him around. But will grieving George get the help he needs? Or will he put his life at risk by fighting again?
