Next week on 'EastEnders': Kush's exit revealed, plus romance for Bernie, Nancy has big secrets (spoilers)
Kush’s time in Walford is at an end, plus Isaac opens up to Patrick and Nancy appears to be keeping secrets.
It’s your full EastEnders spoiler rundown for 19-23 April, 2021.
Goodbye to Kush
So, this is it for Kush: after seven years’ worth of loyal service, actor Davood Ghadami exits on Monday. With his life in Walford becoming more fraught by the minute, Kush is planning to make a secret departure with fiancée Whitney in tow.
I’ve been asked not to reveal the exact nature of Kush’s final scene, but those in charge of EastEnders are teasing the possibility of either a happy ever after or heartbreak.

Though with Shona McGarty – who plays Whitney – not having been announced as leaving the show alongside Ghadami, maybe it’s best to prep for tears of sadness rather than joy.
Isaac opens up to Patrick
The shadier branches of the Trueman family tree are revealed to Isaac when he discovers what happened to Paul all those years ago. When Kim admits that Paul was murdered, Patrick confesses that a major life regret is that his son never opened up about the trouble he was in.

And it’s an admission that results in Isaac then deciding to reveal all about his schizophrenia to his dad.
In the aftermath, Patrick tells Isaac that he has nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, what strikes him most are the similarities between him and Paul. It’s a comparison that leads to Isaac musing to Lola about his brother being misunderstood – and that perhaps his schizophrenia is a misunderstanding, too?
And after quizzing Ash about doctors getting things wrong – especially when it comes to ethnic minorities – Isaac’s mind is left whirring…
What’s wrong with Nancy?
It’s fast becoming clear that Nancy is a far more troubled soul now than when she departed Albert Square back in 2016.
For starters, we have Mick struggling to get a short-tempered Nancy to bond with Frankie, despite him breaking out the board games for entertainment. Then there’s a delivery that Nancy is expecting, but which temporarily gets delayed. And when it arrives, Nancy will be seen rushing to get it – all of which leaves Mick feeling suspicious about what she’s up to.
Things then come to a head on Friday when she reluctantly takes Ollie to the park, only for him to fall over when her back is turned. With Nancy feeling awful about what’s happened, Mick realises that he needs to schedule in some father-daughter time, but will she reveal what’s on her mind?
Testing times for the Taylors
Two members of the Taylor clan are also in the spotlight. First, Karen needs to find money to pay off some loan sharks and hits upon the idea of becoming Rainie’s surrogate – for a cash fee, naturally.
And then there’s Bernie, who’s tracked down by Ziggy’s owner Molly. She wants to apologise for how things were left and suggests that Bailey spends the day with the dog. And, also, might Bernie like to grab a coffee sometime? Finally, a chance of happiness!
Let’s hope Bernie seizes the opportunity. And not just because her and Molly's relationship hashtag name would be #Belly.
