EastEnders' Linda Carter has big setback in feud with George Knight

EastEnders spoilers follow.

Linda Carter has suffered a huge setback in her EastEnders feud with George Knight.

She was recently blindsided when her mum and business partner Elaine Peacock moved her boyfriend George and his two daughters Anna and Gina into the Vic to help run the pub.

Linda grew even more concerned when George proposed to Elaine this week, so she set about trying to expose her potential stepfather's supposedly shifty motives in Tuesday's (June 6) episode.

Elaine seemed torn as Linda insisted that George must be a gold-digger, yet George seemed sincere as Phil Mitchell encouraged him not to give up if he truly loves Elaine.

With Phil's words in mind, George proposed to Elaine once again and, this time, she gleefully accepted. All Linda could do was stew until she stumbled upon some potentially damning evidence that George is scamming her mum.

Linda brought the matter out into the open when she revealed she'd overheard George telling Gina that his bar in Marbella wouldn't be sold "any time soon".

She then did some research to find that the bar is on the market for €250,000 — apparently a much higher price than other local real estate.

Linda theorised that George had no real intention of selling his bar, then accused him of coming to Walford only to "bleed [Elaine] dry and then head back to the beach with all of [his] debts cleared".

George gave Linda a reality check when he shot back: "What I do with my bar is my business and if I were you, I'd start minding my own business. I'm here now and I ain't going anywhere."

Linda was left worried over the confrontation at the night's 'duff-duff' moment…

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
