EastEnders rules out first two characters from Christmas death mystery

EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders has confirmed the first two characters who will survive the Christmas whodunit storyline.

Thanks to a flashforward scene from earlier this year, viewers know that six charactersDenise Fox, Kathy Cotton, Linda Carter, Sharon Watts, Stacey Slater and Suki Kaur Panesar — will discover a dead man in The Vic over Christmas.

The unlucky deceased man will be wearing the dreaded cufflinks that have been passed around through Albert Square throughout the year — and now, we know of at least two people who won't be wearing them.

Future spoilers for January have confirmed that both Felix Baker and Denzel Danes will be appearing in the New Year, so can be disqualified from any fan theories.

Admittedly, the two likely weren't high on anyone's suspect lists (especially since Denzel is a teenage boy), but it's helpful to at least rule them out officially.

Someone else won't be so lucky, though viewers will have to wait until Christmas Day to find out who turns up deceased under The Vic's Christmas tree.

The BBC has confirmed that EastEnders will have prime schedule slots over the festive period, including an hour-long episode airing at 9.45pm on Christmas Day and an extended 35-minute episode on Boxing Day at 8.25pm.
