EastEnders' Sam Mitchell will expose Phil's guilty secret in next week's episodes.
Phil betrayed his wife-to-be Kat last year, when he slept with Lola's mum Emma just days before their wedding.
Phil's betrayal was later discovered by Kat's ex-husband Alfie, who agreed to keep it a secret, having just found out he had prostate cancer.
That is all set to change in upcoming scenes though when Phil's sister Sam learns what Phil has done and publicly reveals everything.
As the Mitchells prepare to gather for Aunt Sal's funeral, Kat worries when Phil keeps his emotions to himself.
Ahead of the funeral, Sam gives Ben and Billy stern orders to attend, but Phil isn't convinced by her sudden interest in family.
Aunt Sal's husband, Harold, makes a rare appearance and moves the congregation, including Phil, to tears with his emotional eulogy.
At the wake, Sam is shocked when Harold reveals that Aunt Sal has left her, Grant and Phil £100,000. She demands the money from Phil, but he refuses.
With Sam already riled up about Phil, she is shocked when Alfie reveals that Phil slept with Emma.
Realising she could have the upper hand here, Sam heads back to Peggy's to blackmail Phil for the inheritance money.
Phil refuses to back down, as Elaine gets The Vic ready for his and Kat's joint birthday karaoke party.
Kat grows concerned when she spots Phil conspiring with Ben across the Square, and later confronts Ben – who covers for his dad.
Phil is eventually forced to cave in to Sam's demands, before having a heart-to-heart with Kat.
Phil is left feeling confident that everything will be okay after this, until Sam takes the mic and reveals that he slept with Emma.
As Kat reels at Sam's claims, Sam is met with contempt for her actions.
She heads over to see her son Ricky for moral support, but Jack isn't having any of it and orders her to leave.
Sam is then forced to face a furious Phil outside, but their argument is intercepted by Ricky.
With news of Phil's infidelity rife on the Square, Kat takes herself to The Vic to drink herself into oblivion. But what does the future hold for her marriage to Phil now?
Discussing next week's scenes, Kim Medcalf – who plays Sam – said: "She finds out through Alfie, who lets it slip.
"There is a woman at Aunt Sal's funeral and Alfie makes a comment which Sam picks up on and Alfie tells her.
"That's the other thing for Sam, she is many bad things but what she can't bear in this situation is that Phil is walking around pretending that he's cleaner than clean and supposed to be very much in love with Kat.
"Sam thinks that he's completely hypocritical and his behaviour is far worse."
