Yahoo News EastEnders schedule changes for big Beale family week
EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders will face schedule changes on BBC One next week. The long-running soap will make way for the World Athletics Championships, as BBC One's evening schedule airs live coverage from Budapest.
EastEnders will not air on Monday, August 21 on BBC One, but will screen a double bill from 7pm on Tuesday, August 22.
The Walford drama will not screen on Wednesday, August 23 either, but will return with another double bill from 7pm on Thursday, August 24.

Fortunately, fans who prefer their daily fix won't need to miss out. A BBC spokesperson has confirmed to Digital Spy that EastEnders will be released on iPlayer as usual on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
EastEnders has aired most episodes early on the iPlayer since last year, with 6am releases, prompting many fans to make the move to watching via streaming rather than on the main channel.
Major episodes with big surprises – such as the Christmas special and Cindy Beale's recent 'Rose Knight' twist – have been held back for broadcast on BBC One first.
Next week's episodes see Peter Beale return to Walford, now played by Thomas Law again. Thomas previously reprised the role for one episode in June.

Cindy and Ian Beale will also feature next week, in scenes set in France.
Speaking recently about his EastEnders return as Peter, Thomas commented: "It was easier in a way because they wanted to show a more mature and put-together side of Peter this time around.
"I played Peter for such a long time so I felt like I really knew him but Adam [Woodyatt] and Michelle [Collins] made it easy for me to get back into the role too, as I had to harness onto the fact that Peter just really loves his mum and dad.
"That was pretty easy for me to do because I do love them both. That's not to say that I wasn't nervous on the first day on set but all my nerves went away when I started to work with them."
