EastEnders shares first look at death plot special

EastEnders minor spoilers follow.

EastEnders has shared the first look and full details for a documentary about its Christmas death cliffhanger.

Former cast member Joe Swash will be heading back to Albert Square to present the BBC Three special EastEnders: The Six – Revealed, where he will profile the six women at the centre of the storyline.

Earlier this year, a flashforward scene revealed that Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean), Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Suki (Balvinder Sopal) will find a corpse in the Vic this Christmas as part of a whodunit plot.

Joe is set to sit down with each of these women to look back on the storylines from the past year and touch on theories about why each of them could be the killer.

"I absolutely loved being back in my old stomping ground, Albert Square. EastEnders holds such great memories for me, and it felt so great to be back," Joe said.

"I loved reconnecting with Tish, Lacey and Di who I love dearly and worked with on my last stint in the show, and it was great to meet Kellie, Gillian and Bal as we looked back at some of their amazing storylines from the year.”

Viewers may also spot a clue or two about which male resident of Walford will end up wearing the doomed cufflinks at Christmas.

"Since we announced our Christmas storyline back in February, there has been an overwhelming amount of speculation around the body in question and which one of our six Walford matriarchs might be responsible; with much of that speculation coming from the cast," producer Chris Clenshaw said.

"This show not only gives the audience the chance to hear from the actresses involved as they discuss their own theories but also gives some exclusive news about what's to come this Christmas."

EastEnders: The Six – Revealed will be airing on Monday, December 11 at 8pm on BBC Three and iPlayer. EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
