EastEnders' Sonia Fowler finally learns the truth about Reiss Colwell next week when he makes a confession that could mean the end of their relationship.
Sonia is looking forward to spending her birthday with Reiss and is overjoyed to wake up to several birthday treats, but Reiss is nowhere to be seen.
The net begins to close in on Reiss when Rocky Cotton decides to tell Kathy Beale about a strange phone call that he overheard Reiss make a few days earlier. Not wanting to ruin Sonia's birthday, Kathy insists that Rocky let it go.

Ahead of the big Coronation Day festivities in the Square, Reiss is still a no-show and Sonia begins to grow concerned about his disappearance.
Despite Kathy's warning, Rocky decides to share his suspicions with Sonia, but Reiss finally arrives before he can.
When Rocky gets the chance, he confronts Reiss about his discovery. However, as Reiss tries to explain, Sonia walks in and overhears. She's devastated when Reiss admits the truth and demands he get out of her life for good.

The following day, Martin tries to console Sonia over Reiss' confession. Meanwhile, Reiss is desperate to explain the situation to Sonia. After confiding in Eve Unwin, Reiss finds Sonia and suggests that she give him a chance to tell her the full story.
Will Reiss' explanation make Sonia change her mind – or will his deception be too much for Sonia to forgive?
Reiss was introduced to EastEnders late last year as Sonia's new love interest but attracted some suspicion from viewers when he convinced Sonia to evict her lodger, Jed.
Viewers later learned that Reiss is married, although the full circumstances haven't yet been made clear on screen.

Jonny Freeman, who plays Reiss, recently addressed the fan response to his character and the relationship with Sonia, commenting: "I think some people are still quite suspicious of Reiss and were quite suspicious of him with regards to the Jed storyline but equally, I guess it's a different type of relationship.
"It's a lot softer, which is the personality of Sonia and Reiss, so I think they're quite a good match."
