Freddie Slater finally returns to Albert Square in next week's EastEnders episodes. Last year, Bobby Brazier, 20, took a break from playing Freddie on the BBC One soap to take part in Strictly Come Dancing as well as the show's UK tour.

Bobby eventually reached the final of the beloved ballroom extravaganza with partner Dianne Buswell, but missed out on lifting the glitterball trophy to Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola. On-screen, Freddie left the East End to visit his mum Little Mo Slater after he found out that his real dad Graham was a rapist.

"I'm just a bit numb I guess," the teenager told his auntie Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) as he stood outside of The Queen Vic with a bag over his shoulder. "I've got to be with mum", he continued as Kat replied: "Remember this yeah, your mum has fought your whole life to protect you".

But Freddie looked at her with a vacant expression before walking off and telling her: "I'll see ya later". Only days before his temporary departure, Freddie had attacked stalker Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) as he caught him trying to assault Stacey (Lacey Turner).

However, Freddie will be back in Walford next week with Big Mo Harris (Laila Morse), who was last seen in in 2021 when she left to go on a cruise with Fat Elvis.

In forthcoming episodes, Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) calls Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) about a potential burglary. But he is left shocked when he discovers the culprits' identity after hitting them with a toy baseball bat – Mo has returned alongside Freddie.

Kat and Jean are delighted at the pair's return, but Freddie feels sidelined when he realises there’s no room for him at Alfie’s and he’ll have to live at No.31.

After one too many comments from the Slater family suggesting that Kat and Alfie are an item, Kat decides to move out so that Freddie can move back into the flat. But Freddie is given food for thought and is determined to get Kat and Alfie back together and put an end to Kat’s move.

Meanwhile, Mo sets her sights on Stevie Mitchell (Alan Ford) before the pair head back to No.31 to continue their evening, much to Freddie, Anna and Bobby’s amusement.

The exact circumstances of how Freddie and Big Mo have ended up back in Walford are currently under wraps. But all will be revealed for the duo during a limited series on EastEnders' TikTok channel which will follow the pair in Mo's caravan, where she has been living since leaving Walford.

Speaking about her rerun to EastEnders, Laila said: "I’m delighted to be coming home to Walford to bring Mo back to life. EastEnders holds such a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to be reunited with my on-screen family, who are like my family, as well as old and new faces."
