EastEnders spoilers: Dot’s death announced, Sonia makes mystery call about Janine

Sonia makes mystery call after Janine tells a lie
When an upset Janine learns that Mick has once again been in the company of Linda, she drops some upsetting news on him. But when Mick tells Sonia about what’s happened, she realises Janine is lying.
Shirley also sees straight through Janine and calls her out on her duplicity. But when Janine’s mood darkens further, Sonia makes a mystery phone call.

By Thursday, everyone is preparing for the Christmas lights party at the Queen Vic. Janine, though, is more determined than ever to cement herself into Mick’s life – but she’s about to be on the receiving end of a devastating blow…
Dot’s death is announced
The week ends on a notably sombre note, with Sonia receiving a devastating phone call – Dot (June Brown) has died.
We’ve known this moment would be coming, as plans have already been announced by the BBC as regards Dot’s funeral.

So, fans can expect to see the residents of Albert Square mourning the loss of the beloved gossip, while old faces including Colin Russell, George “Lofty” Holloway and Lauren Branning will all return in the run-up to Christmas to say their goodbyes to Dot.
Eve has a message for Suki
Despite Stacey questioning her motives, Eve manages to secure a lunch date with Nish and Suki. As viewers will see on Monday, Suki is less than pleased, but Eve tells her she isn’t going anywhere.
During the lunch itself, Eve offers Nish some legal advice. But when a flustered Suki is called away by Ravi, we’ll see Nish question why Suki is so tense around Eve.
His concerns also mount later in the week when Nish tells Suki that he’s booked a business trip away for the two of them, only for Suki to decline the offer.
Alfie impresses Kat
Alfie is forced to come clean to Kat about both the missing £30,000 from Phil’s safe and the fact that he’s been living at No 55 in her absence. But the pair of them are soon joining forces as Alfie tries to sell some dodgy products on the market in a bid to recoup his losses.
Later in the week, Alfie also decides to help with Tommy’s school fundraiser, which he swears to Kat has nothing to do with efforts to get Phil’s money back.
And as Alfie rallies volunteers for a plan he has in mind, Kat can’t help but be impressed. Might this offer a glimmer of hope where their future is concerned?
Freddie’s shock discovery
The situation as regards Harvey is getting desperate and when Bobby does some digging, he discovers that Sophia has been receiving money.
Freddie then hatches a plan and manages to get hold of Harvey’s phone, screenshotting as much information as he can. He then goes on to make an interesting discovery which leaves Rocky wondering whether they should reveal all.
But when Dotty barges in and learns what’s happened, they resolve to tell Harvey everything…
Can Jack and Amy build bridges?
Following weeks of turmoil in their relationship, Jack will be seen reaching out to Amy, only for his mission to get back into her good books to fail.
Denise then steps in, with the result of her intervention being that Amy comes round to Jack. So might father and daughter end up back on an even keel?
