EastEnders spoilers: Jay and Lola's shock split, Whitney abandons Zack
Emma interferes in Jay and Lola’s relationship on EastEnders next week, while Stacey finds herself feeling the long arm of the law on her shoulder.
Whitney remains in a bad way and struggles with saying goodbye to Peach. And Denise tries to resist Ravi’s attempts to influence her actions.
It’s another fraught week in EastEnders, so read on for all the Walford spoilers for 13-16 March 2023.
Stacey is grilled by the police
The fridge breaks down at the Slaters’, but Stacey isn’t bothered as she’s splashing the cash. A suspicious Jean then demands to know if her daughter nicked the money from the office, but Stacey denies it.

However, when realisation dawns on her that if caught she could go down and lose her kids, Stacey enlists Jean’s help in returning the ill-gotten gains by distracting security guard Alan. But things don’t go to plan and Stacey is soon being asked by Callum to go to the police station to explain herself.
Under questioning, Stacey denies being responsible for the theft. But once back home, she finds Kat holding court and a huge row erupts when it’s revealed that Mitchell funds are being used to solve the Slaters’ troubles. Stacey’s pride is obviously hurt, but can she keep a lid on her feelings?
Emma creates friction for Jay and Lola
Monday’s drama will see Lola zoning out, but despite Jay and Lexi being concerned, she refuses to get checked and instead ploughs all her energy into a brain tumour awareness fundraiser.
Later on, though, Jay does manage to convince Lola to seek counselling help for Lexi, who’s clearly struggling to cope. But when Emma arrives back on the scene and offers her opinion, Lola ends up cancelling the appointment – a decision that leaves Jay fuming.

Pretty soon, the stage is set for an almighty clash between Jay and Emma. He’s adamant that Lola mustn’t be doing too much, she thinks he’s being overprotective. But Emma looks set to get the upper hand when she convinces Jay to go out with Ben and Callum while she takes Lola to the hospital for an appointment.
The trouble is, the night out ends with Emma witnessing Jay getting too close to comfort with a girl on a hen night, little realising that he’s actually just telling her how much he loves Lola. And when Emma reports back to Lola, she accuses Jay of cheating and chucks him out!
Whitney can’t say goodbye
Whitney picks a bad time to go back to work, as all the talk on the market is of Mother’s Day. And when she receives word that Peach’s ashes are ready to collect, poor Whit is left broken.
Despite Zack’s efforts to reach out, Whitney rushes off, blaming everyone for making her return to work too soon and insisting she’s not ready to say goodbye to her daughter.
Eventually, though, she agrees to pick up the ashes with Zack, but when Whitney subsequently witnesses Lily having a health scare, she goes completely over the top about the need to protect the unborn baby. Zack, meanwhile, is left sitting alone with Peach’s ashes and later calls Whitney out on her decision to let him face this tragic task by himself.
Will Denise do Ravi’s bidding?
Denise is facing pressure from Ravi to break into Jack’s laptop and acquire the information he needs. And she almost goes through with it, only to be called away when she receives a call saying Amy has been involved in a fight at school.
Later, Denise seeks Ravi out and calls his bluff: as far as she’s concerned, he can do his worst as she won’t betray Jack. But when Ravi later prepares to break into the Brannings’ to conduct a search, he’s interrupted by by Chelsea. Can he come up with a plausible excuse?
