Emma creates friction for Jay and Lola
Monday’s drama will see Lola zoning out, but despite Jay and Lexi being concerned, she refuses to get checked and instead ploughs all her energy into a brain tumour awareness fundraiser.
Later on, though, Jay does manage to convince Lola to seek counselling help for Lexi, who’s clearly struggling to cope. But when Emma arrives back on the scene and offers her opinion, Lola ends up cancelling the appointment – a decision that leaves Jay fuming.
Pretty soon, the stage is set for an almighty clash between Jay and Emma. He’s adamant that Lola mustn’t be doing too much, she thinks he’s being overprotective. But Emma looks set to get the upper hand when she convinces Jay to go out with Ben and Callum while she takes Lola to the hospital for an appointment.
The trouble is, the night out ends with Emma witnessing Jay getting too close to comfort with a girl on a hen night, little realising that he’s actually just telling her how much he loves Lola. And when Emma reports back to Lola, she accuses Jay of cheating and chucks him out!
Whitney can’t say goodbye
Whitney picks a bad time to go back to work, as all the talk on the market is of Mother’s Day. And when she receives word that Peach’s ashes are ready to collect, poor Whit is left broken.
Despite Zack’s efforts to reach out, Whitney rushes off, blaming everyone for making her return to work too soon and insisting she’s not ready to say goodbye to her daughter.
Eventually, though, she agrees to pick up the ashes with Zack, but when Whitney subsequently witnesses Lily having a health scare, she goes completely over the top about the need to protect the unborn baby. Zack, meanwhile, is left sitting alone with Peach’s ashes and later calls Whitney out on her decision to let him face this tragic task by himself.
