Social media had a bit of a meltdown over Christmas when EastEnders fan favourite, Arthur ‘Fatboy’ Chubb, seemingly met his maker - getting crushed to death in the boot of a car.
Grisly scenes saw Richard Blackwood’s character, Vincent Hubbard, find Fatboy’s remains and gold ‘F’ chain on Christmas Eve.
However the tattooed soap star has hinted that Ricky Norwood’s character could make a surprise come back.
Blackwood, 43, told the Daily Express: “I would love for Ricky to come back.
“Myself and Ricky have been friends for 16 years so just in terms of a friendship, I would love him to come back.”
Fans were outraged at the shock death and took to Twitter to vent their fury.
There was even a petition to get the cheeky DJ back. Yes. An actual petition.
So everyone will be delighted to hear that RB believes Fatboy could still be alive.
He went on to add that raising Fatboy from his grave wasn’t beyond the realms of possibility especially as EastEnders have already brought Kathy Beale and Den Watts back from the dead.
Kathy, actress Gillian Taylforth, made a shock return last year during the infamous Live Week.
The legend that was Dirty Den rose from the grave back in 2003, before being well and truly killed off again in 2005.
RB said of Fatboy’s possible return: "The thing is they’ve done it very successfully before so it can be done. I think now, with TV in general but especially EastEnders, you always know that they will have another plan.“
