'EastEnders' viewers go wild as Barry Grant from 'Brookside' hits Albert Square
It looks like Phil Mitchell might be in for a headache.
Brookside bad boy Barry Grant – aka actor Paul Usher – turned up unannounced in Albert Square last night.

Arriving at the garage, he freaked out Keanu with knowledge of what he was getting up to in Spain (helping to launder money, in short), and left a whiff of menace before spiriting himself away into the East End.
Usher is playing scouse gangster Danny Hardcastle, and it could be that Phil and Keanu have bitten off more than they can chew.
Danny is after recompense for money owed to him, with the story set to pan out over the coming months.

If he’s anything like Barry Grant, there could be anything from drug dealing and kidnap to homicide on the cards.
Usher played Grant for the entirety of Brookside’s 21 years on screen, son of Ricky Tomlinson’s Bobby Grant, graduating from petty criminal to gangster and crooked businessman.
